How Sarah’s Pet Care Operates at The Dog Park

Unsure of what to expect during your dogs off leash dog park adventure? At Sarah’s Pet Care we are frequent dog park visitors and we’ve listed standard common dog park rules, that we as a business adhere to.

• We at Sarah’s Pet Care always have an eye on your pup, supervision and proactiveness is the key.
• We ensure your dog is visible at all times and are constantly aware of every dog’s temperament within our group and with other dogs in the park.
• We always clean up after your dog immediately, ensuring the park stays clean of excrement and litter.
• Once your dog has had enough play time, when exiting the designated off leash area the dogs are leashed up.
• There are a few dog parks with designated areas for smaller dogs and we honor those restrictions.

Off Leash Trip Dog Requirements

At Sarah’s Pet Care we like to ensure the health and safety of your dog. That is why for dogs exhibiting anything listed below, we avoid group off leash dog parks.

• If your dog is overly reactive, timid, aggressive, to unfamiliar people and dogs.  (We offer private walks to ensure your dog receives the exercise they crave, while feeling fully comfortable and happy within their surroundings.)<
• If your dog is in heat.
• If your dog is ill or has parasites.
• If your puppy is no older than 4 months old and has not received necessary vaccinations. (Young puppies are fragile and susceptible to trauma from older overbearing dogs and vulnerable to diseases)

Sarah’s Pet Care Instills Appropriate Dog Behavior at Off Leash Dog Parks

• We will make sure your dog does not make uninvited contact with other humans in the park other than their Sarah’s Pet Care guardian. (IE. Mounting, jumping up, mouthing or “crotch sniffing”)
• We will have fun with your dog while instilling basic commands such as “come,” “sit,” and “leave it.”
• Our dog guardians are well versed in all types of dog behavior and will immediately recognize and rectify, any situation, ensuring your dog’s safety and happiness.
