If you, your dogs and our staff have one major thing in common, it’s this: we love our off-leash outings! And for good reason. Dog families in the Greater Seattle area appreciate the opportunity for their pups to go on their very own adventure while their humans are away at work, on vacation, or wherever life takes them. The additional exercise, stimulation, and socialization allow dogs to return home happier and healthier — and tired!
Our off-leash dog park destinations vary based on proximity, but a few favorites include these spots in the Greater Seattle and Eastside areas:
- Golden Gardens OLA (Northwest Seattle)
- Marymoor Park OLA (Redmond)
- Jasper’s Dog Park (Kirkland)
- Mountlake Terrace Dog Park
- Edmonds Marina OLA
- Eastside OLA (Shoreline)
- Shoreview Park OLA (Shoreline)
- Tambark Creek Dog Park (Bothell)
- Blue Dog Pond Off Leash Park (Southeast Seattle)
Interested in local dog park recommendations to try on your free time? Though these stops aren’t typically part of our regular route, we do have a few personal picks that make for excellent pet and owner bonding time!
- Magnuson Park Off Leash Area (Northeast Seattle)
- Luther Burbank Off Leash Area (Mercer Island)
Common Dog Park Expectations
Unsure of what to expect during your dog’s off-leash park adventure? Allow us to give you a glimpse!
While there is no such thing as a guaranteed risk-free dog park trip, we do everything in our power to keep our pack safe. This starts with bringing small, safe groups of dog park-appropriate candidates, so we ask that only well-socialized canines join these outings.
Our Pet Care Associates follow Seattle Parks rules for Off Leash Area use (as outlined by Citizens for Off Leash Areas of Seattle). You can rest assured that we will:
- Keep a proactive eye on your pup. Supervision is key!
- Monitor temperaments and interactions within our group and with other park attendees.
- Clean up after your dog and do our part to keep the city’s parks as clean as possible.
- Re-leash dogs when exiting the designated off-leash area.
- Honor known restrictions (such as designated small dog areas).
Off Leash Trip Requirements
We are committed to providing the safest and healthiest possible environment for our dog clients. For this reason, we must ask that dogs exhibiting any of the below qualities stay behind on off-leash trips.
- If your dog is overly reactive, timid, or aggressive to unfamiliar people and dogs. Some dogs may be a better fit for our private dog-walking service.
- If your dog is ill or has parasites.
- If your puppy is less than 4 months old and/or has not received necessary vaccinations.
- If your dog is more than 6 months old and has not been neutered/spayed.
Once the necessary precautions are in place, it’s time to let the playtime fun begin!
